Jeanne Grunert

Jeanne Grunert is an award-winning writer and marketer, and a noted expert in organic SEO, content marketing, and marketing management.

She is the founder of Seven Oaks Consulting and the author of nine books. She has published over 1,000 articles in magazines and online, and has been quoted in Marketing to the High Net Worth Customers, Cravings, and The Sprout Handbook.

She holds an M.S. (with distinction) in Direct and Interactive Marketing from New York University and an M.A. in Writing from the City University of New York.

She is certified in Adult Education, Personal Branding, and On-Page and Technical SEO.

Marketing Career

Jeanne began her career in marketing while working for the local yellow pages during her undergraduate studies. She subsequently held positions as a marketing manager for Martin Viette Nurseries, Actrade Capital, and as Director of Marketing (Head of Marketing) for The College Board, TC Innovations (a division of Teachers College, Columbia University), and The Grow Network/McGraw-Hill before founding Seven Oaks Consulting in 2007.

Writing Career

Jeanne began writing at age 12. She taught herself to type on her mother’s Royal manual typewriter so she could write faster. She published her first magazine articles at age 15 in Just About Horses magazine. From there, she has published over 1,000 articles in magazines and online, ghostwritten and under the bylines of Jeanne M. Rudmann, Jeanne Grunert, and J.J. Belz.

She is the author of the popular Majek Family Mysteries (I Believe You, I See You) and several paranormal fiction novellas.

Notable accomplishments include:

  • “Ask the Expert” columnist and feature writer for Virginia Gardener magazine (2015-2018)
  • Group Editor, Feature Writer for LoveToKnow.com, managing nine popular channels and 20+ writers (2008 – 2011)
  • “A Teacher Named Kricket,” a personal essay about her equestrian life, is anthologized in the book Straight from the Heart: True Stories of Horses and Their Owners.
  • “Mercy,” included in the anthology Chicken Soup for the Cat Lover’s Soul
