Seven Oaks Consulting is a boutique business-to-business (B2B) marketing consulting firm focused on using the power of the written word to acquire, retain, and create loyal customers.
Founded in 2007 by award-winning direct marketer and writer Jeanne Grunert (that’s me), we work with small to mid-sized technology, education, and business services companies, and the marketing agencies who serve them, as their outsourced marketing leader.
We figure out why your marketing isn’t working, and build a repeatable, scalable strategy to fix it. Whether it’s your website that’s not bringing in traffic or missed opportunities in the Request for Proposal (RFP) response process, I can usually spot the root of the marketing problem quickly, and find affordable and effective ways to fix it.

Who Is Jeanne Grunert?
Hi, I’m Jeanne. I’m a fractional Chief Marketing Officer, Marketing Consultant, and Content Marketer with over 20 years of experience leading, guiding, and managing marketing for education, technology, and business services clients.

I lead all marketing consulting engagements and marketing writing projects at Seven Oaks Consulting. When needed, we bring in an outstanding team of independent contractors to support fractional engagements. We have world-class graphic designers, Google ad managers, social media experts, and writers to support your project on an as-needed basis.
Our Process: How We Work
Once we receive your inquiry, we schedule a 30-minute Zoom call. I like to get to know you first to make sure we’re a good fit for one another. I’ll ask you a lot of questions during this call and do a lot of listening. Some of my questions may seem odd, but the reason I ask them is that often, people show up at my virtual doorstep thinking one thing is the problem when my experience tells me it’s not the real problem. Typically, I can pinpoint the root cause within the first meeting. Then, we talk about what it will take to fix your marketing problem: lack of website traffic, lack of leads, or poor RFP response rate.
