Welcome to Seven Oaks Consulting.  My name is Jeanne Grunert, and for more than 20 years, I led marketing departments for companies in the New York City area and worked as a freelance writer.

In 2007,  I left  my successful career as a marketing executive.  I moved with my family onto our farm at the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains, Seven Oaks.  I opened my company, Seven Oaks Consulting, in 2007 to offer a combination of excellent writing and expert marketing insights to small businesses.

My special area of expertise is in SEO writing – writing for search engine optimization, helping websites gain visibility and visits.  SEO writing demands a highly skilled copywriter with a background in both marketing and writing, someone who can expertly infuse web copy with keywords while still writing with the audience in mind.

The working style here at Seven Oaks Consulting is warm, friendly, casual and professional.  The office cats and my dog spend the day with me, so I apologize in advance for the occasional barks or meows in the background of our phone calls.

Business Hours
I am a full-time, freelance writer and consultant.  Office hours are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. Evening hours are available by appointment on Tuesdays and Thursdays. We are closed on Sundays.

My office is located in Prospect, Virginia, within driving distance of Lynchburg, Farmville and Richmond, Virginia.  I am happy to meet in person or work on site with clients in the Farmville, Lynchburg or Richmond, Virginia area.

Communications
I answer emails within 24 hours on normal business days. I am available to my clients on Skype for instant messenger service, and have a dedicated conference call line for group meetings conducted by telephone.

Working with Me: The Process
At the start of the project, I will ask to schedule a phone call with you or request that product information, company information and other facts are sent to me via email. This helps me understand your product, company and goals. I need your input and information – the more facts, the better. Clients should offer feedback and request changes if desired. I want you to be happy with the results. My working style is warm, professional and collaborative.

Payment Terms

I accept payment by business check or by PayPal.

Writing, editing and marketing critique projects are billed upon completion.  Payment is expected immediately unless other terms have been arranged.

Marketing projects and projects over $1,000 are billed as follows: a deposit of 25% down, with payments made at agreed-upon milestones and final payment upon completion of the project.

Websites must be paid in full before launch.

Consulting calls and phone consultations must be paid in full at the time of the call.
